I recently replaced my tires and the tire pressure warning light is still on. How can I reset the system and make sure the correct tire pressure is displayed?
ReplyFirst, check the tire pressures to make sure they are at the correct level. Then, turn on the ignition but do not start the engine. Press and hold the TPMS reset button until the TPMS light blinks three times. Release the button and drive the car for at least 10 minutes to allow the system to recalibrate.
Alternatively, you can also use a TPMS tool to reset the system. First, connect the tool to the OBD-II port and turn on the ignition. Select the 'reset' option on the tool's menu and wait until the reset is complete. Drive the car for 10 minutes to ensure the system is properly calibrated.
