Hi Jasmine, P0299 is a common error code in BMW XMs and can be caused by a few different issues. It could be a faulty turbocharger, a leak in the intake or exhaust system, or a malfunctioning boost sensor. I recommend taking your car to a qualified mechanic to properly diagnose and address the problem.

Hey Jasmine, I had the same error code in my BMW XM and it turned out to be a loose hose in the intake system. It's a relatively easy fix, so you might want to check the hoses yourself before taking it to a mechanic.

Hi Jasmine, I had the same issue with my XM and it was due to a clogged fuel filter. It's a relatively cheap and simple fix, so I suggest checking that first before moving on to more expensive solutions.
