How do I activate the BMW Gesture Control feature in my 5 Series?

I recently bought a BMW 5 Series and can't figure out how to use the Gesture Control feature. Can someone explain how to activate it and what gestures I can use?

To activate Gesture Control in your BMW 5 Series, go to the iDrive menu, select 'Communication' and then 'Voice Control', and turn on 'Voice Control Professional'. As for gestures, you can adjust the volume, reject calls, and skip tracks with a simple wave of your hand.
