How do I activate the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant in my iX?

I just got my new BMW iX and I can't figure out how to activate the Intelligent Personal Assistant. Can someone please guide me through the steps?

To activate the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, simply say 'Hey BMW' followed by your request. It's that easy!

If voice recognition is not working, make sure your microphone is turned on and there is not too much background noise. You can also try resetting your iX by pressing and holding the volume and voice control buttons for 30 seconds.
