How do I adjust the ambient lighting in my BMW X2?

I recently purchased a BMW X2 and I can't figure out how to change the ambient lighting settings. I've tried looking through the manual but I'm still having trouble. Can someone please explain the process to me?

To adjust the ambient lighting in your BMW X2, first locate the ambient lighting button on the central console.
