I recently purchased a BMW X2 and I love it, but I noticed one of my headlights is out. I've never changed headlights on a car before, so I'm not sure where to start. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions on how to change the headlights on a BMW X2?
ReplyHi Emily, changing the headlights on a BMW X2 is actually pretty simple. All you need to do is pop the hood of your car and locate the back of the headlight housing. You'll see a small plastic cap that covers the back of the headlight. Remove the cap and you'll be able to access the bulb. Just twist and pull the old bulb out, then insert the new one. Make sure to not touch the bulb with your bare hands, as the oils on your skin can cause it to burn out faster. Hope this helps!
Hey Emily, I've changed my BMW X2 headlights a few times and found it to be pretty easy. Just like the previous answer mentioned, remove the plastic cap and twist out the old bulb. One thing I've found that helps is using a small amount of dielectric grease on the new bulb before inserting it into the housing. This can help prevent any moisture from getting in and will also make it easier to remove in the future. Good luck!
