How do I change the oil on a BMW 3 Series?

I just purchased a BMW 3 Series and I want to know the correct way to change the oil. Should I take it to a dealership or can I do it myself? And how often should I change the oil?

You can change the oil yourself if you have the proper tools and knowledge. BMW recommends changing the oil every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.
