How do I check the engine oil level in my BMW 1 Series?

I just bought a BMW 1 Series and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. Can someone guide me on the steps to check the engine oil level? Thanks!

To check the engine oil level in your BMW 1 Series, first make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface. Open the hood and locate the dipstick, which is usually labeled with a bright colored handle. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If it is below the minimum mark, you will need to add more oil.
