I recently purchased a BMW 6 Series and now I am unsure on how to check the engine oil level. Can someone please explain the process to me step by step?
ReplyHi David, the first step would be to park your car on a level surface and let the engine cool down. Then, locate the engine oil dipstick and pull it out. Wipe it clean and then reinsert it. Finally, pull it out again and check the oil level on the dipstick. It should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If it is low, then you can add more oil. Hope this helps!
Hey David, to check the engine oil level, you can use the iDrive system in your BMW 6 Series. Go to 'Service Info' in the iDrive menu, then select 'Engine Oil Level'. The system will display the current oil level and also indicate when it needs to be topped up. Make sure to use the recommended brand and grade of oil for your car. Best of luck!
