How do I check the engine oil level in my BMW 7 Series?

I recently purchased a used BMW 7 Series and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. Can you provide some steps for checking the engine oil level and what to do if it is low?

To check the engine oil level in your BMW 7 Series, first make sure the car is on a level surface and the engine is turned off. Locate the dipstick, usually yellow or orange, and pull it out. Wipe it clean with a paper towel and reinsert it. Pull the dipstick back out and check the oil level. If it is below the minimum level, add more oil to bring it to the proper level.

If your engine oil level is consistently low, it may be a sign of a larger issue. It's important to have your car serviced by a BMW technician to diagnose and fix any underlying problems. Ignoring a low oil level can lead to costly repairs in the long run.
