How do I check the engine oil level on a BMW X5?

I recently purchased a used BMW X5 and I'm not sure how to check the engine oil level. Can someone provide me with the steps to do so? Thanks!

To check the engine oil level on your BMW X5, first make sure the engine is cold. Then locate the oil dipstick, which is typically located near the front of the engine. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If it is below the lower mark, you need to add more oil.

Another way to check the engine oil level on your BMW X5 is through the iDrive system. Simply go to the vehicle information menu and select Service Requirements. From there, you'll see a list of services needed and the current state of your engine oil level. If it is below the minimum level, be sure to add more oil as soon as possible.

As an experienced BMW owner, I suggest checking your engine oil level regularly to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential engine damage. I personally like to check my engine oil level every 1,000 miles. It only takes a few minutes and can save you from costly repairs in the long run.
