To check the oil level in your BMW 2 Series, start by making sure your car is on a level surface and the engine is cold. Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick. Pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth, then reinsert it and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum markers on the dipstick. If it is below the minimum, you will need to add more oil. I recommend using the recommended BMW oil.
