How do I check the tire pressure on my BMW 2 Series?

I just purchased a BMW 2 Series and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. Can you walk me through the steps for checking the tire pressure and how often I should do it?

Hi Jennifer, congratulations on your new BMW 2 Series! It's important to regularly check your tire pressure to ensure optimal performance and safety. To do so, you will need a tire pressure gauge and your vehicle's recommended tire pressure (found in the owner's manual or on the driver's door jamb). Simply remove the valve cap, attach the gauge, and record the reading. If the pressure is too high or low, use an air compressor to adjust it accordingly. The recommended frequency for checking tire pressure is once a month, or before any long trips.

Hey Jen, good question. Maintaining proper tire pressure is crucial for the longevity of your BMW 2 Series. Aside from regular checks, be sure to keep an eye on the tread depth of your tires. If they are worn down to a certain point, it can affect the handling and performance of your vehicle. When it's time for new tires, make sure to invest in a high-quality set.
