How do I check the transmission fluid level on a BMW 2 Series?

I recently purchased a BMW 2 Series and am not sure how to check the transmission fluid level. Can you provide some guidance on where to find the dipstick and how to properly check the level?

To check the transmission fluid level on a BMW 2 Series, start by locating the transmission dipstick. It is usually located near the back of the engine and has a red handle. Use a clean rag or towel to wipe the dipstick clean, then reinsert it fully. Remove the dipstick once again and observe where the fluid level falls between the minimum and maximum markings. If it is below the minimum, you will need to add more transmission fluid. If it is above the maximum, you may have too much fluid and should consider having it drained and refilled. It's always a good idea to consult your owner's manual for specific instructions for your particular BMW model.
