How do I check the transmission oil level in my BMW M1?

I recently purchased a used BMW M1 and I want to make sure the transmission oil is at the correct level. I checked the owner's manual, but couldn't find clear instructions. Can someone please guide me through the process?

To start, park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick, which is usually yellow or orange, and pull it out. Wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert it fully. Then, pull it out and check the oil level. It should be between the 'minimum' and 'maximum' markings on the dipstick.

If you can't find the dipstick or it seems stuck, it's best to take your car to a mechanic for them to check the level. They can also advise you on whether the fluid needs to be changed and can do it for you if necessary.
