How do I extend the range of my BMW X1's wireless key fob?

I have recently purchased a BMW X1 and I am having issues with the range of my wireless key fob. It only works when I am very close to the car and I would like to be able to use it from a longer distance. Is there any way to extend the range of the key fob?

Hi Jessica, unfortunately, there is no way to extend the range of your BMW X1's key fob. This is a common issue with the X1 model and it is recommended to always keep spare batteries on hand.
