I recently purchased a used BMW X5 and the iDrive system seems to be having some issues. Whenever I try to navigate through the menu or make a phone call, the system freezes or crashes. Can someone give me some advice on how to fix this?
ReplyHi Rachel, it sounds like there may be a software issue with your iDrive system. Have you tried resetting it by holding down the iDrive knob for 15 seconds? This should reboot the system and may resolve the freezing and crashing issues.
Hey Rachel, another possible solution is to update the system software. You can do this by connecting your car to a stable Wi-Fi network and going to the settings menu in the iDrive system. From there, you should be able to check for updates and download them.
