I've noticed that one of the headlights on my BMW is out. How do I go about replacing the bulb?
ReplyReplacing a headlight bulb on a BMW is actually a fairly simple process. Start by opening the hood of your car and finding the back of the headlight assembly. This should be located behind the front bumper, towards the center of the vehicle. Once you have located it, twist the back of the headlight assembly to open it up and reveal the headlight bulb.
Be sure to purchase the correct replacement bulb for your specific BMW model. Once you have the new bulb, carefully remove the old one by gently pulling it straight out. Then, simply insert the new bulb in the same position, making sure it is secure. Close the back of the headlight assembly and you're all set!
One thing to keep in mind when replacing a headlight bulb on your BMW is to avoid touching the glass portion of the new bulb. Oil from your skin can cause damage and decrease the lifespan of the bulb. If you do happen to touch the glass, be sure to clean it with some rubbing alcohol before inserting it into the assembly.
