How do I replace the brake pads on my BMW XM?

My BMW XM's brake pads are starting to wear down and I need to replace them. What is the best way to do this and what tools will I need? Any tips or tricks to make the process easier?

First, gather all the necessary tools such as a jack, jack stands, and a socket set. Then, loosen the lug nuts on the wheel and safely raise the car using the jack. Once the wheel is off, you can access the brake caliper and pads. Use a C-clamp to push the caliper piston back in and remove the old pads. Install the new pads and reassemble the caliper.
