How do I reset my tire pressure monitoring system on a BMW X3?

I recently had my tires changed and now my tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light is on. How can I reset it so that it accurately reflects the new tire pressure?

To reset your TPMS on a BMW X3, first ensure that your tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure. Then, turn on your car's ignition without starting the engine. Press and hold the TPMS reset button (located in the glove compartment) until the TPMS light flashes three times. Release the button and wait for the light to turn off, indicating that the system has been reset.
