I recently purchased a used BMW 7 Series and the iDrive system seems to be malfunctioning. How can I reset it to its factory settings?

To reset the iDrive system, you can use the iDrive controller or press and hold the Volume knob for 20 seconds until the system reboots. If this doesn't work, you can also try disconnecting the car's battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it.
