How do I reset the iDrive system on my BMW Z4?

I accidentally pressed the wrong button on my iDrive system and now it's not working properly. How can I reset it?

First, try turning off your car and then restarting it. If that doesn't work, you can try resetting the iDrive system by pressing and holding the volume button and the CD eject button at the same time for 10 seconds.
