Hi Samantha, I had the same problem with my BMW X7 and was able to fix it by resetting the iDrive system. To do this, press and hold the volume button and the eject button at the same time for about 10 seconds until the iDrive screen goes black. Then release the buttons and turn off the car for a few minutes. When you turn the car back on, the navigation system should be working again.
