How do I reset the oil change indicator in a BMW XM?

I recently purchased a BMW XM and the oil change indicator has come on. How do I reset it?

Resetting the oil change indicator is a simple process that you can do yourself. First, turn on your vehicle and make sure the odometer is showing the total mileage, not the trip mileage. Then, press and hold the ODO/trip button on the dashboard until the odometer display changes to the service indicator.
