How Do I Reset the Oil Change Indicator on My BMW 4 Series?

I recently changed the oil on my BMW 4 Series and the oil change indicator is still showing as overdue. How can I reset it so that it accurately reflects the new oil change?

To reset the oil change indicator on your BMW 4 Series, start by turning the ignition to the 'on' position without starting the engine. Once the dashboard lights up, press and hold the odometer reset button until the Service Menu appears. Use the toggle button on your steering wheel to navigate to the 'Reset Service' option and press and hold the button again to confirm. Your oil change indicator should now be reset.

If you still see the oil change indicator after following the steps to reset it, try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes and then reconnecting it. This will reset the vehicle's computer and may clear the indicator.
