How do I reset the oil change light on my BMW XM?

I recently changed the oil on my BMW XM and the oil change light is still on. How do I reset it?

To reset the oil change light on your BMW XM, first make sure the ignition is off. Then, press and hold the trip odometer button until the odometer display shows 'RESET'. Release the button and press it again, the display will show 'END SIA'. Press and hold the button again until 'CLEAR SI' is displayed. Release the button and press it again to confirm the reset.
