I recently got an oil change on my BMW but the oil indicator is still showing that it needs to be changed. How do I reset it?
ReplyFirst, check your owner's manual as the procedure may vary slightly depending on the year and model of your vehicle. Generally, you will need to press and hold the odometer reset button while turning the key to the 'on' position. Keep holding the button until the indicator resets.
If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This will reset all of the vehicle's systems and may clear the oil indicator.
