I recently changed the oil on my BMW 4 Series, but the oil life indicator is still showing the old mileage. How do I reset it to reflect the current oil change? Any help would be appreciated.
ReplyHi Jackie, to reset the oil life on your BMW 4 Series, follow these steps: 1. Press and hold the odometer reset button on the dashboard until the service menu appears. 2. Use the scroll button to navigate to 'Engine Oil' and press the reset button. 3. You will be prompted to confirm the reset. Press and hold the reset button again to confirm. This should reset the oil life to 100% and reflect your recent oil change. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Hey Jackie, you can also reset the oil life by pressing and holding the trip odometer reset button on the instrument panel until the oil service menu appears. Then, use the scroll button to navigate to 'Reset' and press the reset button. This should reset the oil life to 100%. Hope this helps.
Hi Jackie, another way to reset the oil life on your BMW 4 Series is through the iDrive system. Go to 'Vehicle Info' and then 'Vehicle Status'. Scroll down to 'Engine Oil' and select 'Reset'. Confirm the reset and your oil life should be reset to 100%. Hope this helps.
