I recently changed the oil on my BMW 5 Series and I'm not sure how to reset the oil service indicator. Can someone please give me instructions on how to do it?
ReplyTo reset the oil service indicator on your BMW 5 Series, follow these steps: 1. Turn the ignition on (do not start the car). 2. Press and hold the odometer reset button for approximately 5 seconds until 'reset' or 're' appears. 3. Release the button and press it again until 'oil service' or 'insp' is displayed. 4. Release the button again and press it one more time until 'reset' or 're' is displayed. 5. Release the button again and turn off the ignition. Your oil service indicator should now be reset.
