How do I reset the oil service light in my BMW 6 Series?

I recently got an oil change but the service light is still on. How do I reset it so the light goes off? Do I need a special tool or can I do it myself?

To reset the oil service light on your BMW 6 Series, you can do it yourself without any special tools. First, turn on the ignition but do not start the engine. Then, press and hold the odometer reset button until the service lights appear. Use the trip button to scroll to 'Reset' and press and hold again until you see 'Reset to Zero?'. Release the button and then press and hold again until the counter resets to zero. Your oil service light should now be reset.

I've had the same issue with my BMW 6 Series. Luckily, resetting the oil service light is a simple process that you can do yourself. Just follow the steps in your owner's manual or the guide provided online. It's important to keep up with your oil changes to ensure the longevity of your car's engine.

Resetting the oil service light on your BMW 6 Series is a quick and easy task. However, if you're unsure or uncomfortable doing it yourself, it's always best to consult with a certified mechanic. They will be able to reset the light and also check for any other potential issues that may have triggered the light.
