I recently had my oil changed on my BMW X5 and now the service indicator is still showing. How can I reset it to reflect the new service date?
ReplyTo reset the service indicator on your BMW X5, follow these steps: 1. Turn on your ignition, but do not start your engine. 2. Press and hold the odometer reset button until the service indicator flashes. 3. Release the button and press and hold it again until the word 'Reset' appears. 4. Release the button and press it again to confirm the reset. 5. The service indicator should now be reset and show the new service date.
Another way to reset the service indicator is by using the iDrive system. Simply go to the 'Vehicle Info' menu and select 'Vehicle Status'. From there, you can select 'Service Required' and then 'Reset'. Your service indicator should now be reset.
