How do I reset the service warning light on my BMW X1?

I recently performed routine maintenance on my BMW X1 and now the service warning light won't turn off. How can I reset it?

I had the same issue with my BMW X1 and I found that resetting the service warning light was simply a matter of pressing and holding the odometer reset button for 10 seconds.

If you're still having trouble, try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This should reset the warning light.
