How do I reset the tire pressure monitor in my BMW X1?

I recently changed my tire pressure on my BMW X1 and the tire pressure monitor is still showing the old readings. How do I reset it to accurately reflect the new tire pressure?

To reset the tire pressure monitor in your BMW X1, start the engine and drive with the vehicle for at least 10 minutes at a speed of at least 20mph. This will automatically reset the tire pressure monitor and display the new readings.

If the tire pressure monitor does not reset automatically, you can also try turning off your engine and then restarting it after a few minutes. This should also trigger the reset process.
