How do I reset the tire pressure monitoring system in a BMW X8?

I recently purchased a BMW X8 and noticed that the tire pressure warning light has been on for a few days. I checked the tire pressure and it seems to be at the recommended levels. Is there a way to reset the tire pressure monitoring system in the X8? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Samantha, the tire pressure monitoring system can be reset by using a button located on the dashboard. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until the light flashes and then release. This should reset the system. If the light continues to stay on, there may be an issue with the sensor and it's best to have it checked by a mechanic.

Hi Samantha, another possible solution is to disconnect the car battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect it. This will reset all of the car's systems and may resolve the tire pressure warning issue. However, if the light comes back on, it's recommended to take your X8 to a certified BMW technician for further diagnosis.
