How do I reset the tire pressure warning in my BMW 5 Series?

I recently had to add air to my tires and now the warning light won't go away. How can I reset it?

Hi Michelle, to reset the tire pressure warning, follow these steps. First, make sure the car is stationary and the engine is turned off. Then, turn the ignition to the second position without starting the engine. Keep the button on the left side of the steering wheel pressed until a menu appears on the dashboard. Scroll to the ‘Vehicle Info’ option and press the button again. Now scroll to the ‘Tire Pressure Monitor’ option and confirm by pressing the button again. You should see a message that says ‘Resetting Tire Pressure Monitor…Done’. Press the button one more time to exit the menu.

Hey Michelle, another way to reset the tire pressure warning is to use the iDrive system. Go to ‘Settings’, select ‘Vehicle’, then ‘TPM’ and finally ‘Reset all tire pressures’. Make sure all tires are at the correct pressure before doing this. Hope this helps!
