How do I reset the TPMS in my BMW 5 Series?

I recently got new tires on my BMW 5 Series and I need to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It keeps giving me a warning light, but I'm not sure how to reset it. Can anyone help?

Hi Jeremy, resetting the TPMS on a BMW 5 Series is actually pretty simple. First, make sure your tires are properly inflated. Then, turn on the engine and turn your steering wheel fully to the right, then fully to the left. This will reset the TPMS system and the warning light should go off.

Hi Jeremy, another way to reset the TPMS on your BMW 5 Series is to drive at least 20 mph for 20 minutes. This will allow the system to calibrate itself and the warning light should go off.
