How do I troubleshoot a brake issue in my BMW?

I've been experiencing some difficulty with my BMW's brakes lately. Sometimes the pedal feels spongy, and other times it takes longer than usual to come to a complete stop. I'm not sure what could be causing this issue. Can anyone provide some insight on how to troubleshoot and fix this problem?

Hi Emma, I'm sorry to hear about your brake issues. The first thing I would recommend is checking the brake fluid level and topping it off if necessary. If that doesn't seem to be the issue, it's possible that there could be air in the brake lines, which can cause a spongy pedal. In that case, you may need to have your brake system bled by a mechanic. Keep in mind that brake issues can be dangerous, so it's always important to have them checked out by a professional if you're unsure.

Hey Emma, I've had a similar issue with my BMW in the past. It turned out that the brake pads needed to be replaced. If you've had your brake pads for a while, that could be the cause of the problem. It's a relatively easy fix and can save you from any potential accidents on the road.
