How do you reset the service light on a BMW 8 series?

I just got my BMW 8 series serviced and the service light is still on. How can I reset it myself without going back to the dealership?

To reset the service light on your BMW 8 series, simply turn on your ignition without starting the engine. Use the iDrive controller to navigate to the 'Vehicle' menu and then select 'Vehicle Status'. From there, select 'Service Required'. You will see an option to reset the service light, select it and confirm the action.
