How does the BMW M9's clutch work?

I am having trouble understanding how the clutch of the BMW M9 works. Can someone explain the mechanics and operation of the clutch system?

Hi Michelle, the BMW M9 uses a dual-clutch gearbox, which means it has two separate clutches for the odd and even gears. This allows for faster and smoother gear changes. When you press on the clutch pedal, the first clutch disengages and the second one engages, allowing for a seamless shift. Hope this helps!

Hello Michelle, the BMW M9 also has a feature called launch control, which when engaged, optimizes the clutch engagement and gear shifts for maximum acceleration. Make sure to only use this feature on a race track or a closed course. Best of luck!
