I recently purchased a BMW M9 and I'm wondering how often I should change the spark plugs. I don't want to risk any damage to the engine, but also don't want to unnecessarily spend money if it's not necessary. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
ReplyIt's recommended to change the spark plugs every 60,000 miles or every 6 years, whichever comes first. However, if you notice any issues with your engine's performance, it's best to have them checked and potentially replaced sooner.
I change my BMW M9's spark plugs every 50,000 miles as a precaution. It may cost a bit more, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that my engine is running smoothly.
If you frequently drive in harsh conditions, such as heavy traffic or extreme temperatures, it's best to change the spark plugs more often, around every 30,000 miles.
