ReplyTo check the oil levels in your BMW 5 Series, start by locating the hood release lever and opening the hood. Next, find the oil dipstick which is usually labeled and has a brightly colored handle. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel. Then, insert the dipstick back into the pipe and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If the level is low, add more oil as needed.
