ReplyThe first step is to park your car on a level surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Next, locate the oil dipstick, usually labeled with a yellow or orange handle. With a clean cloth, pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean. Now reinsert the dipstick all the way, making sure it's sitting properly. Pull it out again and check the oil level. If it's below the minimum mark, you need to add more oil.
To add more oil, locate the oil cap under the hood of your BMW. Remove the cap and slowly pour in the recommended type and amount of oil. Check the dipstick again to make sure you've added enough. It's always a good idea to check your oil level regularly to ensure your car is running smoothly.
