My BMW 4 Series always automatically shuts off the engine when I come to a stop, but I find it annoying and want to disable this feature. Is there a way to do it?
ReplyJake, you can disable the auto start-stop function by pressing the 'ECO PRO' button on your dashboard. This will bring up a menu where you can turn off the auto start-stop feature.
As a fellow BMW owner, I have also found the auto start-stop feature to be frustrating at times. You can disable it permanently by coding your car using a specialized software and cable. This will require some technical knowledge, but it's a more permanent solution.
Hi Jake, I would suggest leaving the auto start-stop feature enabled as it can help improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. However, if it really bothers you, you can temporarily disable it by pressing the 'AUTO HOLD' button on your center console.
