How to reset the BMW 6 Series navigation system?

I have a BMW 6 Series and the navigation system is not working properly. How can I reset it and fix the issue?

To reset the navigation system on your BMW 6 Series, press and hold the iDrive controller for 20 seconds. This should reset the system and fix any issues you are experiencing.

Another option is to disconnect the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnect it. This will also reset the navigation system.
