To reset the oil life indicator on a BMW X3, turn the ignition to the 'on' position without starting the engine. Press the odometer reset button and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the words 'oil service' or 'inspection' appear. Release the button and press it again, then wait for the display to show 'reset' or 'oil service' depending on the vehicle's model and year. Press and hold the button once more until 'reset' flashes on the display, then release. The indicator should now be reset!
