How to reset the service indicator on BMW 3 Series?

I recently changed the oil on my BMW 3 Series and now the service indicator is still showing. How can I reset it to reflect the new maintenance schedule?

Hi Alex, resetting the service indicator on a BMW 3 Series can be done easily through the instrument cluster. First, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Use the button on the end of the turn signal stalk to navigate through the menus until you reach 'Vehicle Check'. Press and hold the same button until the display changes to 'Reset'. Release the button and then press and hold it again until the reset is complete. Hope this helps!

Hey Alex, another way to reset the service indicator is through the iDrive system. From the main menu, go to 'Vehicle Information' and then 'Vehicle Status'. Scroll down to 'Service Required' and press the controller. Select 'Reset' and confirm when prompted. This should reset the service indicator. Let me know if you have any issues.
