How to reset the service indicator on my BMW X3?

I recently got my BMW X3 serviced but the service indicator is still showing. How can I reset it?

To reset the service indicator, turn the ignition key to the first position and then hold the odometer reset button until the clock appears on the dashboard. Release the button and then press and hold it again until the word 'RESET' appears. Release the button again and the indicator should now be reset.

Another way to reset the service indicator is to use your key fob. Press and hold the lock button for five seconds, then release and press it again three times within 10 seconds. The indicator should now be reset.
