How to reset the Service Interval Indicator in the BMW 6 Series?

I recently got my oil change done at a local mechanic shop, but the Service Interval Indicator in my BMW 6 Series is still showing that it needs a service. How can I reset it so that it reflects the recent oil change?

You can easily reset the Service Interval Indicator by following these steps:

1. Turn the ignition on (do not start the engine) and wait for the Service Interval Indicator to show.

2. Press and hold the odometer reset button for about 5 seconds until 'RESET' appears in the display.
