How to reset the service light in a BMW XM?

I recently purchased a used BMW XM and the service light is on. I'm not sure how to reset it. Can someone explain the steps to do so?

To reset the service light in a BMW XM, first turn on the ignition but do not start the engine. Then press and hold the odometer reset button until the service menu appears. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to 'Interval' and press the odometer button to select it. From there, you can reset the service light. Hope this helps!
