How to reset the tire pressure monitoring system in a BMW X3?

I recently purchased a used BMW X3 and I noticed that the tire pressure warning light is constantly on. How do I reset the tire pressure monitoring system to fix this issue?

Hi John, resetting the tire pressure monitoring system is fairly simple. First, make sure that the tires are properly inflated. Then, turn on the ignition while the vehicle is in park. Press and hold the TPMS reset button until the TPMS light blinks 3 times. This should reset the TPMS system and turn off the warning light. If this does not work, you may need to bring your BMW X3 to a mechanic for further diagnosis.

Hey John, another possible solution is to drive the car for at least 10 minutes at a speed of 30 miles per hour or more. This should allow the TPMS system to recalibrate itself. If the warning light persists, you may need to check the tire pressure sensors or visit a BMW dealership for assistance.
